parent & player contract

At Impact Baseball honoring Jesus Christ in all we say and do is our expressed goal. We seek to accomplish this with the dual focus of:

  • Developing your boys to become better and smarter baseball players and teammates, AND

  • Integrating character development and spiritual growth as the foundation for everything we do on and off the field.

The best way to achieve these goals is to have everyone in the program aligned — players, parents, coaches, managers, and Board members.

To that end, please review the contract below along with your player. These itemized commitments reflect our expectations for everyone in the program. After reviewing the sections below, please sign and date it. Clicking SUBMIT will record your “signatures” and take you to the Payment page to page your deposit.

As a parent or guardian of an Impact Baseball player, I will…

  • Pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement to my player, his team, his coaches and the Impact Baseball Program.

  • Pledge to provide positive support and encouragement to the other team and their coaches.

  • Maintain controlled and caring behavior and attitude at all athletic contests.

  • Respect the authority, position, and professionalism of the umpires, and will refrain from negatively engaging them.

  • Refrain from the use of foul language.

  • Refrain from the consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, vaping, etc. during Impact related events and activities.

  • Refrain from yelling criticism at my player, his coaches or teammates.

  • Refrain from making derogatory comments to other players, other parents, game officials or administrators.

  • Refrain from coaching during the game as it only serves to distract and confuse the players.

  • Let the coach be responsible for my son during practice, games and team-related activities.

  • Assist in providing for player safety and welfare.

  • Notify the coach immediately if/when a practice or game will be missed.

  • Handle any and all issues observing the 24-hour rule. If you have any complaints or issues you are expected to wait 24 hours before confronting your coach. If you feel your issue was not resolved, you may then request a meeting with the Impact Board of Directors.

  • Volunteer in some capacity throughout the season when asked to assist the team or with one of Impact’s tournaments.

  • Commit to paying the full amount of program fees and acknowledge the financial parameters in full as they are explained in the Impact Handbook (see button above to access)

  • Attest that I have reviewed the Impact Handbook in its entirety.

As an Impact Baseball player, I will…

  • Treat my teammates, coaches, umpires, opponents, spectators and all others involved in our athletic events with respect at all times.

  • Agree to submit willingly and cheerfully to the leadership of this team, even when I do not agree with their decisions.

  • Give my best effort and full attention to my coach, and do my best to follow their instruction. I will hustle at all times during practice and games. I will stay focused – keeping my head in the game and pay attention during practice and games.

  • Commit my best effort to attend all practices and games as detailed on my schedule.

  • Encourage and help my teammates and others.

  • Give 100% and work hard during practices and games, striving to improve every day.

  • Work hard to have fun with my teammates.

  • Take pride in how I play the game, how I approach the game, and how I wear my uniform.

  • Demonstrate self-control. I will strive to improve on this in the heat of competition, even when I disagree with the officiating, make an error, or strikeout.

  • Refrain from challenging an umpire during or after a game.

  • Refrain from the following behaviors: attitude problems, backtalking a coach or parent, crude or vulgar language, throwing equipment, trash talking, use of tobacco, drugs or alcohol.

  • Come prepared with the appropriate equipment to all games and practices.

  • Remember that I am representing Impact Baseball and will do so in the most positive way at all times.

We, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the player, and the player, acknowledge that I/we have read the terms of this Contract. Actions speak louder than words and we agree to conduct ourselves according to the terms laid out above. We also understand and agree that any violation of this code of conduct will be cause for disciplinary action, suspension, dismissal, or permanent expulsion from future participation.
