WHAT IS THE BANANA BALL BONANZA?

Inspired by the legendary Savannah Bananas and their wild new version of baseball that is taking the baseball world by storm, Impact is hosting our own fourth annual Banana Ball Bonanza. The rules are largely the same, though there are seven Banana Ball rules we are adopting to make the game faster and even more action-packed (see below).

All net proceeds will go toward our 13U baseball mission trip to the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2026. We partner with GO Ministries, based in the DR, to run an annual father-son trip, which is the capstone of our program and exemplifies our goal of combining BASEBALL, DISCIPLESHIP & SERVICE in the lives of our players. While in the DR the teams will play baseball games against Dominican teams, work on a construction project within a community, and spend time with and serve underprivileged kids at some local churches. It is a truly life-changing trip!

banana ball rules

  1. Win the Inning, Get a Point: First team to 4 points wins (or whoever has the most points at the end of regulation time).

  2. No Stepping Out: If a batter steps out of the box w/ both feet, a strike is called!

  3. NO BUNTING: Swing the bat! If you attempt to bunt, you’re out!

  4. No Walks, Only Sprints: If a batter walks, they can sprint around the bases until the defense successfully throws the ball around to all nine players.

  5. One-On-One Showdown for Tie Games: If the game is tied after regulation, the format switches to a 1 vs 1 scenario where there is a pitcher, catcher, and one fielder vs the hitter. If the hitter gets a hit, he either scores or is thrown out at home.

  6. Fans Matter: If a ball is hit into foul territory and a fan catches the ball on the fly, the batter is out!

  7. Early to Bed: All games have a strict time limit, with no new inning started after 1 hour and 45 minutes.

1) TEAM REGISTRATION

Each team’s manager must fill out the registration form below. The team age group is determined by the age that the team will be playing at NEXT SPRING.

 

2) PAYMENT

Complete $500 payment for the team.

 

3) PLAYER REGISTRATION

Each player on the roster must be registered with a signed waiver to participate in the tournament.
